I’m a bit late with my reply as I was lagging behind catching up on this thread.
Would someone else be willing (and have time) to take it on?
Actually, not me this time, Serenity is at its capacity at the moment.

@cassie Next week is going to be super busy for me and the summit is at 6am in my timezone. So would it be possible for me to record a 4-minute video about my proposal instead of joining the meeting? (Or if not, maybe someone else would be interested in presenting my proposal?)
@braden No problem at all. @jill is also doing a recording. Please share it with me before the week is over
@cassie I uploaded my video to this folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cEEsooCr4WqBDZtHeXPdXiCzbsbw7PIR?usp=drive_link
I’m kind moving too close to the camera sometimes but I don’t have time to re-do :p sorry
@cassie Here’s my video: Core Contributor Metrics with biterg.io | Loom
I also put it on my proposal wiki page: https://openedx.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/COMM/pages/edit-v2/4522278913
Hope the Summit goes well!
I am late for this but all the best to everyone I am looking forward to all the presentation and see what all we can adopt to improve the process.
Hey everyone
Thank you to everyone who joined us for The Summit to Enhance the Core Contributor Experience yesterday! If you missed it, you can watch the recording here: Watch the Summit Recording.
WHAT’S NEXT?
We have a two-week period for community feedback from October 22 to November 5, 2024. I encourage everyone to share your questions, comments, and suggestions on each of the proposals. Your insights will help shape the future of our community.
Once the feedback period concludes, we’ll begin the voting process. I’ll share more details as we get closer.
Thanks again!
Hi @jill @Agrendalath @kshitij @gabriel @Ali @mtyaka @pooja @farhaan @antoviaque @cassie @navin @gabor @braden @ChrisChV
All Core Contributors now have the opportunity to vote on the proposals aimed at Enhancing the Core Contributor Experience. Get voting here!
PS: Thank you to those that have voted already!
This reminds me: What happened to the survey that we were asked to fill as core contributors about the CC experience? I remember filling that but cannot recall that I’ve ever seen results for that.
Hi @gabor It’s linked in this document. But here’s a direct link - it was posted in August across a few threads - so that made me curious, do you look at the CC Slack channel, forum or emails for updates?
Ah, thank you @cassie for sharing! I was waiting for this report for a while; it seems I lost the communication about the report.
Yes, I definitely keeping a close eye on every communication channel. To be honest, I’m getting many distractions on a lot of channels (email, slack, mattermost, OpenCraft forum, edX forum, GitHub issues, GitHub PRs, GitLab issues, GitLab PRs, Confluence, Jira) that some less important work-related things sometimes falls through my hands and I forget about them.
Being said, I’m happy to see there will be some actions taken to reduce the number of channels as they are making (at least) my days very much fragmented.
