Coworking Week 2026 - Da Nang, Vietnam

Hi everyone, I was asked to coordinate Vietnam activities but have absolutely no capacity ahead of our trip with the new Pathways project, prepping my part of the Product Workshop, my talk, WGU etc etc. Is anyone else available to take on the work? I’m looking for a volunteer to take on the work.

One thing I had looked into previously was a day/afternoon + evening trip to Hoi An. Weekdays are better. It’s only about 30 to 45 mins from Danang. Apparently beautiful at night. Might be worth booking a guided tour / experience. (About Hoi An)

@cassie I’d prefer to leave this to someone who is a little more adventurous or has an idea of what they’d like to do/see. I’m more of a sit on my computer type of guy even when I’m away  so if any team members are excited to visit anywhere, please feel free to volunteer. If there’s no volunteers, I can do it.

Perhaps we can crowdsource ideas? Everyone can add their wishlist, and then you can add a poll to vote on the ideas?

For example, when I had a brief look this is what I found:

  • Lantern experience in Hoi An. Do a day/afternoon + evening trip to Hoi An. Weekdays are better. It’s only about 30 to 45 mins from Danang. Apparently beautiful at night. Might be worth booking a guided tour / experience. About Hoi An
  • Golden Bridge + Ba Na Hills (see tour example) + Marble Mountains
  • Dragon Bridge fire show (evening)
  • Food Walking Tour
  • Coffee shop hopping

There are lots of Airbnb experiences we can look into as well.

PS: Do you know which evening the team dinner will be yet?

Now that conference attendance can be figured out, I’ve scheduled tickets for everyone to plan their travel to the coworking week. Let me know if I,ve missed anything, or if you need any help. :airplane:

Btw I can’t remember if I asked, but can someone please volunteer to plan the team dinner in Da Nang? Or maybe @jordan has already volunteered to plan it at some point?

@gabriel I’m happy to do the team dinner. Can you confirm which day it’s on? Thanks!

Nice idea! Let me add:

@cassie do you have a ticket for this?

No date determined yet. I’d say maybe just not on the first or the last night.

@jordan If the team dinner could be before 27th of May, that would be great.

@gabriel @maxim Sure, let’s do it on Tuesday the 26th then. If anyone on the team has a specific dietary restriction, can you ping me on MM. I’m sure they’ll be options for everyone though. Thanks!

No ticket that I know of. @jordan could you add one with the required hour restriction?

Thank you, @jordan

No worries, I’ll add it and send you the ticket.

Hi everyone! We’ve decided to outsource activity planning to the team. Anyone is welcome to suggest/plan an activity and log their time to plan it on this task:

https://tasks.opencraft.com/browse/STAR-4533

I am planning the team dinner which will take place on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:00pm, so please don’t plan any activities for that time. I don’t remember how we’ve done it previous years, but once you’ve planned an activity, you can likely make a Google Sheet to share in the task and this forum thread to confirm attendance. Be sure to include the date, time and price.

For the team dinner, you can add any dietary restrictions to this task or ping me on MM:

The team dinner is booked for Tuesday, May 26th at 6:00pm for 20 people. We’ll have a great table facing the water, and sunset is at 6:30pm. The menu is a la carte so everyone can order their own dishes. Here is the menu:

The address is 216 Võ Nguyên Giáp, An Hải, Đà Nẵng 550000, Vietnam and it’s a 15 minute walk from the Airbnb.

See everyone there!
