Gantt diagrams

Can anyone recommend tools for drawing and updating Gantt diagrams? Does anyone have experience and/or opinions on them?

I only learned of how they are called recently, and thought they could be a good way to plan and visualize project timelines. It seems easy to track things that can be done in parallel, blockers, etc. It can be useful for the types of projects we do. For example, I want to give it a try for the Sumac upgrade epic. I am curios on what others think about it.

@maxim I was using this one back in time: Free Online Gantt Chart Software

@maxim It might not have all the features you’d expect from a specialized tool for creating Gantt charts, but the good ol’ Google Sheets actually supports creating & editing a timeline view for task tracking/project management.

Example screenshot from docs:

Might be a good-enough starting point if you’re looking for something that’s both free as in free beer and familiar/easy to start using.

Thank you for suggestions!

I think, I’ll give Google Sheets feature a try. Instead of having to manually craft a table in each epic update, I could have a fixed spreadsheet with ticket ids and dates, visualize it, and then link it in the epic update. Though, I must say, I don’t quite like the UI of it, compared to other Gantt charts, and that it’s another things that will depend on Google services.
