@gabriel @kaustav Yes, the goal is to have everyone at the same place, so I would only use this as a last resort.
Are we still missing many places, including with the few of us who will be camping?
@antoviaque, we’re not over by much—only two people in total. So if you and one other person camp in the yard, we’re good!
Assuming that we’ll opt for the camping option, the next question is: what camping gear do we use? Do you have your own, Xavier? Katia has confirmed that the Château didn’t have any camping gear to lend. Unless the people who volunteered for camping (@Agrendalath, @tecoholic, and @kaustav) have gear they can bring with them, will OpenCraft purchase some gear for them? How should we proceed?
@gabriel Sorry for missing this, but I also indicated that I’m open to sharing a room if my partner isn’t joining me. She isn’t, so I am okay with sharing as well.

@gabriel Do we still need cars for transportation in Normandy? My husband is considering renting one from CDG airport and driving to Normandy (assuming we get our visas that is).
@pooja from a budget perspective, I would say we’ve hit our spending limit on rental cars. However, if you opt for a car rental, I can reimburse the equivalent of your train ticket from CDG to the Château.

As some of you may have heard, an Air India flight tragically crashed recently. It so happens that my flight from Delhi to Paris is by Air India and the exact same model of airplane that crashed. Since the crash this flight was cancelled the next day and has been running 3-4hrs late every day since I think there is additional scrutiny for 787-8 models.
There is a small chance my flight will be cancelled and a very high chance it’ll be delayed. My current train booking might not be doable anymore. I think my train ticket is semi-flexible so I can reschedule it later if the flight is delayed, however this may need to be factored into the final leg of the transportation. (@gabriel)

Speaking of potential delays, etc-- I wanted to make myself available in the case someone has a talk that was accepted but isn’t able to make it to present for whatever logistical reason. I’m willing to do a deep dive on whatever and run a presentation if needed.
