It seems like a few of us feel this way. On top of that, a lot of team members would have a hard time getting visas anyway.
With that in mind, I’m wondering if there’s another way we could spend the conference week that still helps OpenCraft from a marketing and visibility perspective, and also supports the Open edX community.
One idea: what if we spent the week of the conference together workshopping and building a new feature (or a few)? A focused sprint could be really productive, and if we choose an affordable location, two weeks in one location with the full team together might cost less than sending a small group to the U.S.
Just putting the idea out there. I’m curious what others think, and whether something like this would be a viable alternative given that conference attendance is part of many of our contracts.
