@gabriel Thank you santa! I had received the gift in my PO box last month, but it has only just made its way to me today. And that’s a really nice surprise - I haven’t had Ice Cider in quite a while! It reminds me that I need to go back to Canada a bit more now that I can
@antoviaque great! And now, it looks like you have the perfect weather/background to savor it. Enjoy
My fabulous Secret Santa gift arrived!
Quite a weighty package, it traveled through four countries for a month and half. Inside I found something, that made me immediately forget my plan to quit consuming sugar :
More than half of this food was eaten in one evening… It smelled and tasted so good. I have a little incense sticks collection and some of the sweets reminded me of these fragrances. Also, I appreciated these spicy minute meals.
Thank you for this awesome gift, @kaustav! I got the feeling of traveling without leaving the kitchen.
I am super thrilled that the package reached (almost) timely and intact and that you liked all the food.
This past month, it almost became a ritual for me to see what new adventure the package was up to, what new sorting center it was exploring.
Also, try not to look at the calorie labels at the back. They are not meant to be read.
Yesterday I received this beautiful box from my Secret Santa.
Filled with tons of wonderfully surprising snacks which I had never tasted or even heard of before. These almost gave me a culture shock sitting right here in my bedroom.
Things like mushroom jerky (my favourite till now), beetroot chips, condensed coconut milk, apple pastila, health tea from the Carpathian mountains, sunflower halva (I always thought halva/halwa was just an Indian thing, but I was wrong) and more …
And the most surprising thing of all was the identity of my Secret Santa : @demid
Through a happy coincidence, we turned out to be each other’s Secret Santa this year
Thank you so much for this super awesome gift @demid. I really loved it.
I’m glad you liked the mushroom jerky, they’re my favorite too, @kaustav! Knowing what happened to some other parcels from this thread, I was worrying about it coming squashed to you, so I’m relieved now. There should have been more unusual snacks and other kinds of halva in the package, but to my surprise, the postal workers forbade me to send anything containing whole seeds.
Also, the idea behind the condensed coconut milk (which is Thailand-made) was to give you a vegan alternative of the famous post-soviet artifact, which still can be found on shelves here:
This thing always seemed terrifying to me though.
My gift finally made its way to me! And what a wonderful surprise it was!
It’s an extensive collection of polish treats (The paper bag is also full of chocolates!). I’ve already dug into the pile and loved everything I tried.
The llama is so cute! It sits on my desk now and keeps me company
I didn’t need to guess who it was since the package had the sender’s address. Thank you for the amazing gift @Agrendalath.
I’m glad it finally arrived! I’ve been checking the tracking number weekly, and I was going to report the package as missing this week (I had been seeing only that it didn’t reach the destination country).
When I realized I couldn’t send the package anonymously, I decided to go with sweets from various local regions. Some of them were discontinued a long time ago, so it was surprising to see them again
Just checking in here. It seems we haven’t coordinated anything for this year. I’ve really enjoyed this tradition, so I’d be open to starting it even now.
@kshitij True! I was thinking about this a few days ago too, when I started thinking of Christmas gifts… I would be up for another round :) Maybe with a timeline that goes into January, to give time to everyone to see it and participate?
I’m game!
I’m also game!
I’m up for it!
I’m in interested in participating too!

Hey @team !
The holiday season is almost here, and we thought it would be a fun way to spread some cheer by hosting a Secret Santa Gift Exchange! Since we’re a fully remote team, it’s the perfect opportunity to connect with each other and enjoy some holiday spirit, no matter where we’re located.
How it works:
- Sign up: If you’d like to join, just reply to this post and let us know you’re in! We’ll be accepting sign-ups until 20th November.
- Drawing names: Once everyone’s signed up, we’ll randomly assign you a person to whom you’ll send a gift. We’ll send each participant their match privately.
- Gift Guidelines: The gift should have a budget of 15$, and it can be anything that feels festive and thoughtful! Whether it’s a physical gift, a gift card, or something digital (think subscriptions, e-books, etc.), it’s up to you!
- Send your gift: Make sure your gift is sent by 10th December, so everyone gets a surprise in time for the holidays!
- Gift reveal: Make sure to post a picture/message of your gifts and guesses about your Secret Santa.
We are planning to use Secret Santa Online gift exchange organizer & generator! for organizing this event.
We hope this will be a fun way to connect and spread some joy this season. Looking forward to seeing all the creative and thoughtful gifts!
