@team On the topic of transport from the airport, it looks like a bunch of flights are going to get in around noon (11am-1pm) on Monday. So maybe we could meet up at the airport and share an Uber to get to Stellenbosch? Let me know if you’d be up for that

@tikr That’s a great idea! I can say for certain, since we are going to be on the same flight, that @gabor, @navin and me are arriving together at 11:35 local time, and can share an Uber.

@maxim No problem! It’s very easy to miss things in these long threads, especially when there’s so much to discuss.
- There is no transfer arranged to get from the airport to the Stellenbosch accommodation. Please use Uber for this
- There is a transfer on 14 July to get from Hermanus to the airport. One shuttle will arrive at the airport around 8:15am, and one will arrive around 10am. Let me know if your flight is earlier than that, and I will help you with arranging a transfer (according to the spreadsheet, this only applies to Daniel, who I’ve already spoken to)
- Since 14 July is the last day of co-working, any transfers later than that will be for your own account

I am in the process of figuring out the Uber/taxi limit for each of us. I need to factor in the shuttle cost to Hermanus as that forms part of the same budget. I’ll post that here once I’ve figured it out.

Uber / Taxi budget
Please stick to the following budgets for taxis/Ubers during the conference and co-working weeks:
- For those only attending the conference: €50 Euro
- For those attending the conference and co-working week: €88 Euro (total for both weeks)
Bear in mind that Stellenbosch has Uber, but Hermanus does not. I’ve added the details for the Hermanus taxi companies to the Schedule doc, as well as the above details about budgets.

Hi, I’m arriving at 10:50 on July 1st on Qatar Airways 146, will look for folks and am happy to share an Uber
I’m arriving 10 minutes after @DouglasDraper and as @tikr said lots of us are arriving around that time, so I’m up for sharing a ride too. We can coordinate on the Mattermost channel.

I arrive a little earlier than you lot (9:30am). Will look for friendly faces first, but will probably make my own way there.
Just to draw your attention to this point:
There are not many reliable and safe public transport options in South Africa… rather use the Uber app. The Uber designated pick-up point is located on the ground floor of Parkade 1 (P1). Here’s a video to get you orientated at the airport.
There is a specific pick up point for Ubers at the airport

I will also be arriving on Monday July 1st at 10:50, with Qatar 1369.
@kaustav I had contacted Uber’s customer service about your card issue, and never got a satisfactory answer from them. I removed the expense limit on everyone’s account, so if this had something to do with the issue you experienced in Colombia, then you should be fine
