Activities - Coworking week & Conference 2025

My wife and I like to join too. I think it would be better to buy the 11:00 a.m. tickets, so we have more time to visit. And not so early at 9, because with any unforeseen event, we could be late. If it’s not possible, I have no problem with the afternoon tickets either

Also: I will assume that everyone on the Activities sheet wants a ticket to the Abbey, so please let me know if you do not want a ticket.

Also please let me know if you’re a EU resident 18-25 years old – you still need a ticket, but it’s free

@navin Your daughter’s ticket is free too :sunny:

I will book tickets starting at 4pm today.

I also added myself to the st michel activity but in any case if we run out of car seats, I can free up my spot since I’ll probably have the opportunity to go after the conference.

Agreed – I think Google’s driving estimates are too optimistic :) It also takes some time to get from the parking to the island – I’d like to walk across, and come back via the free shuttle as Katia recommended.

Great! Since it is 1.5 hours drive, does anyone know if it is compulsory to have a baby seat here?

@navin It is, until 10 years old.

Ok, so it sounds like the crowds start early, so even 11am would be very crowded.

If we leave here by 7:30am, we can make the first Abbey opening at 9:30am. Who would be up for an early morning start?

I would love to go in the morning, but I’m not good at waking up early :persevere: May be I can sleep in the car?

Works for me and Larry :+1:

@antoviaque Oh, we don’t have one and I am not able to find one on rent nearby.

@jill We won’t be able to make it if we can’t find one so please don’t book tickets for us yet.

Works for me and Harshal

I’ve started thinking this over and looking at my schedule/hours worked, and I’ve come to the conclusion I probably can’t duck out to do this trip on Friday after all. If you haven’t bought tickets yet, please exclude me. If you have, I can cover the cost, and if there’s someone who wants to go last minute please give them the ticket instead.

I also added the Centre Pompidou to the Paris activities in case someone wants to go. My architect brothers urged me to go just because of the architecture alone, and the expositions look impressive. So I’ll probably go during the week in Paris.

It works for me and Lusero :raised_hands:

No worries @fox, I hadn’t bought tickets yet.

According to AI ;) Mont Saint-Michel

:sunrise: Go Early. No, Earlier Than That.

  • Leave before 7:00 AM. Mont Saint-Michel opens 9:30-ish, but if you arrive by 8:00 AM, you may beat the buses and group tours
  • Early morning light + foggy tides

:parking: Park Smart

  • All cars park at the main visitor parking lot (about 2.5 km from the island).
  • From there, you have three options:
    • Shuttle bus (Passeur) – Free, every few minutes, but fills up fast.
    • Horse-drawn carriage – Fun but slow, and not ideal for crowd-dodging.
    • Walk – Best bet. 30–40 minutes of flat scenic causeway vibes.

:european_castle: Abbey First, Then Wander

  • Head straight to the abbey at the top. Buy tickets online tonight to skip the line.
  • You’ll have the abbey almost to yourself if you’re early
  • After the abbey, descend and explore the tiny winding streets, which will be filling up by late morning.

:fork_and_knife: Lunch Tips

  • Bring snacks if you’re picky or hate tourist-trap pricing. The food is charmingly overpriced.
  • OR, grab a meal outside the island — nearby towns like Pontorson or Avranches have better food, less chaos.
